WiFi signal is still week after antenna replacement.

So my iPod was having trouble connecting to wifi; I have to basicly be in the room or next to my router to connect. I've tried multiple WiFi hotspots and even reset my WiFi networks and still nothing. I also replaced the WiFi antenna and found it was broken and after thoroughly checking everything the signal is still weak. Am I doing something wrong? I've tried to replace multiple WiFi flex/antennas or different devices and also had no luck :(
