Anyone figure out a solution to this?? I have the same issue with a customers phone after the screen replacemt.

I've check and rechecked connections and haven't seen any damage to MB thus far. I've replaced hundreds of them so I know everything where it's supposed to be.

Hoping there's some trick for this fix! Cuz I know the G2 can be a tricky phone for many other reasons!!

Thanks!!

If it is a phone they left with you for some time make sure they didn't provision another SIM for that number. *cross fingers* hope that's all it is.

Wow, yeah sorry bad grammar there. What I tried to say was that their SIM card may no longer be provisioned. As in it may no longer have service attached to it. Try it in another phone to make sure it is working. You can also have customer replace the sim in the rare case something has happened to it. If you have a microscope check board for any loose chips or damage near areas you may have used a spuger to op then the phone or disconnect parts. If SIM card tests fine and you see no damage to board try backing up the data and doing factory reset.

Thank you, I will try all of that and see what happens.

Try a different sim on the same network, double check antennas are connected properly (clean with alcohol and reconnect)

Got the same issue on my private G2...replaced cracked screen - screen works fine but now I've got (almost) no service. Did anyone find a solution in the meantime? Double-checked all connectors and antenna cables several times, but still no improvement. Any helpful advice would be highly appreciated!

I am in the same boat. My LG G2 screen was cracked and I replaced it successfully. Only thing is that there is no Network. Cannot make calls as no network Signals.

Wi-Fi is great, speakers, screen, camera etc all are working fine. I checked antenna cables, connections to the motherboard. Everything is fine. I even ruined my back cover connectors by watching few videos where people inserted some paper behind the copper connections (On the back cover).

I do not understand what is the problem. Only thing that is left is to change the whole antenna module but I am not sure that is the problem as it is a sturdy piece held by 5 screws at the bottom. I am stumped... Tried googling the answer but there is no explanation or solution. Please if you find a solution post it every where as people are stumped with this problem...Many thanks.

Update

By the way I checked the phone with different sim cards and the problem appears to be with the phone. I am really disappointed as I have voided the warranty now and probably will have to pay for an expensive repair or something

Hi Luigi.. No mate I haven't found any solution yet. But I came across one post and am tempted to try replacing the flex cable as per the article below.

http://phonedoctors.com/2014/03/21/how-t...

( Search for a post by Aaron in the above article.)

But I have not been able to search for any concrete evidence that Flex cable is in any way responsible for reception. But will give it a shot in another 2 weeks. My girlfriend is not happy as I ruined her phone. Actually I wanted to give her a surprise but it turned out to be a nightmare for me lol.

I don t know if you have the same as me but the weird thing is that I see my number, my IMEI, it shows all network available .. But of course of I try to register it fails ...

No mine is not the same as yours. There is only one network signal or max 2 where there should be all 5 bars. The problem is that the moment I start making a call, the signal bar disappears and cannot make a call. same with receiving. If I try to call from a different number then it goes to voicemail.

In your case

1) Try hard reset first. Back to factory settings.

2) If that doesn't work call your service provider and tell them the problem. Probably they can register your sim otherwise they'll send you a new sim.

3) If that doesn't work then there is some problem with the sim tray and/or slot .

Hey Luigi, i have the exact problem as you. It recognizes the SIM but it will not register in any network. Did you find a solution?

Hi Oliver,

nope, unfortunately.

I have tried to push qcn file as well .. you can try that .and check if you have more luck. Just google qcn lg g2 .. plenty of guide out there.

Ran into this problem as well. My tech changed out an lcd assembly for a LG G2 over the weekend, and the customer came back yesterday unable to make phone calls but able to use everything else. When I opened the phone I found that it was missing the white wire that runs along the right side of the board. I replaced it and solved the issue. Make sure the pair of cables are properly connected; hope that helps

I think its a faulty screen. Tell the place you bought to send you a replacement. I'm having same problem and i'll let you know what happens.
