Home button is stuck and will not press down to work!

I have the same problem but it's with a iPod 4th Generation. Can that be fixed? Like, I don't want to open it apart or else I might wreck it. Are there any other way? I am currently using the Assistive Touch but I want to use the home button! I heard that if you use the A.T, your device gets more "laggier". So please anyone help me ASAP!

There are no quick permanent fixes. If your leery about working on your device, an iPhone/iPod tech can pop open the screen and check the power button assembly and replace it, and/or the power flex cable (on the iPod 4th if the flex cable needs to be replaced it requires soldering).

Hello the home button does not require soldering it's easily replaced only problem would be opening it as it's glued down and needs heated up and pryed off..

I would get a shop to do it as you don't want to risk breaking the screen aswel
