Why doesnt my iPod play music out of both ear phones?

WHEN I PLUG EARPHONES INTO MY I POD MUSIC ONLY COMES OUT OF ONE SIDE OF THE EAR PHONES. wHY IS THAT? WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT

it may be because of you settings, if you go into the settings there is an option for sound controls and you can set it to the right or to the left, if its not that its your headphone jack itself and there is a repair guide on ifixit, just replace it, it is so easy to do.

Hello Josh,

Mine iPod 3rd Gen also play music on one side, i checke may headphones.

I didnt find the sound control option you described.

In Settings I have this options:

About

Main Menu

Shuffle

Repeat

Backlight Timer

EQ

Sound Check (I checked this ON or OFF)

Contrat

Clicker

Date & Time

Contacts

Language

Legal

Reset All Setting (I tryed this also)

I wanna tre this before buy an headphone jack.

Ricardo Drozdowski Junior, this question was answered almost a year ago ;-) I do not think that it is within your settings on this model. I do believe that you will have to take a look at the headphone jack and probably will have to replace it. Also, make sure that your headphones are ok.
