HTC ONE M7 HTL22 (Japan variant)

Hello,

I have a HTC One from Japan, also known as HTL22, it has a back cover that is easy to remove with a sliding button. After it, it is possible to see some screws, but not the electronic circuit yet. I would like to know if it is necessary to remove these screws or to follow a similar procedure as described at iFixit to disassemble the phone?

I would like to do it, because I want to change the camera module as my phone has a "purple" problem.

Thanks.

Answer this question I have this problem too

It's never bad to remove the screws at first. Because all the screws in the phone are to fix some components.

Screws are easy to remove and replace, as long as you keep track of them. Try removing all the screws you can find, including the ones under stickers, noting their locations. See if you can pry the phone open, hopefully it has a midframe you can remove, something like this guide. Under the midframe you should be able to find the motherboard and possibly LCD connectors/display connectors. Give that a good try before you try to open the phone by the display, that can be dangerous and very difficult!
