Front glass is unresponsive

Hey Guys.

I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to Samsung repairs.

The device was apparently inside a travel bag that was dunked into a bucket of water (something to do with a jealous thai woman???)

They said they pulled the bag straight out of the water & they didn't think it had got wet but since the screen is unresponsive you cannot swipe to open it.

I have ordered a replacement screen which i have connected it up but the screen is still unresponsive.

I have not yet removed the original screen i didn't want to start heating it all up & removing the original screen if this wasn't the issue.

is the front glass similar to an iPads front glass where you can activate swipe etc before you seal them down or does this need to be fitted before it works?

Any help suggestions or things i could try would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

It's possible with the water damage that the motherboard ha been damaged water damage is a very tricky situation you just don't no why has been damaged..

Yes plugging in before you stick it down will work but in your case I think it's more than the display thats faulty
