I asked the question about the polyurethane diffuser film on plastic Keyboard sheet... Mine was sticky from coffee spill... Question is can I realign with new poly paper.. What is the purpose of it?

The poly sheet is to protect the logic board and to soften the light.
Sorry to say Apple doesn't sell the keyboard parts discreetly. You'll need to find a junker to swap out your poly sheet if its damaged (torn).
Otherwise, you'll need to replace the entire Upper Case to replace the keyboard .
Some people have managed to get the keyboards alone from China (in bulk purchase). Check with some parts suppliers to see what they have the keyboard alone.

I ordered a keyboard from eBay.. Just didn't come with keyboard plastic w/ poly paper attached... Im almost complete reassemblimg with the poly partially on prior plastic..I wanted to be sure performance wouldn't be affected.. NEVER OPENED AN APPLE BEFORE!
Without it a spill can get though! I would try to get it replaced or patched up so it won't leak (if something spills).
