Track pad compression problem

My track pad on my MacBook Pro has compressed itself and will not click completely any more. The left click has stopped working and I can only access that function with two fingers and not by clicking the left corner. I don't really know what to do. I can still use the mouse and scroll etc. but I am unable to press it down completely.
