Lumia 625 completely dead after digitizer replacement

Hi there,

II replaced a digitizer on a lumia 625 today.

The phone was working fine when it came to me, just had a cracked digitizer.

After the repair, the phone would not power back on. No signs of life whatsoever.

I have a wall charger for USB devices that has LED lights that indicate when the power is going to the device and those LED did not change colour when i connected the Lumia 625.

The computer did not detect the device either.

I put the original (cracked) digitizer back on the phone but still no life.

I have tried all the combinations of keys for soft and hard resets but still no response whatsoever.

Has anyone had any similar problems with the Lumia 625 or any lumia for that matter?

can anyone please shed some light on this for me ?

thanks

thanks, which ribbon though ? the digitizer ribbon and the battery ribbon are attached to their respective parts

by

The ribbon that connects the two motherboards and the start and volume buttons. it's glued to the frame and even the smallest of crack can break it.

again, thanks for all your help much appreciated.

I will try replace this ribbon, bt could you possibly link me to somewhere that sells it ? I don't really know the technical name for it and I have tried entering "lumia 625 motherboard ribbon" into ebay with no results. So do you know the proper name for it ?

I'm in Ireland BTW

thanks
