Replaced LCD. Reboots when waking from sleep.

Have replaced the LCD and checked all the cables numerous times.

After many resets and restores, the phone initially fires up ok, and is usable until it goes to sleep.

When you hit the home button to wake it up, the screen comes to life and instantly recycles the phone.

Also had a couple of boot cycles with a white screen.

My only assumption is that this is a faulty LCD as everything else seems to work ok when the LCD is active.

Any ideas as to what this is if not the LCD ?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

kind of the same problem here.

Did you find a solution ?

You changed the LCD to another one with success ?

THanks

No luck. General concensus is a fault or short circuit on the logic board so probably not easy to fix.

Ok thank you for your answer.

I have no problem going to the logicboard and trying to fix things but mine seems ok (at the exception of connector 3 but it's propably unrelated. Your iPhone has already been opened ? do you also have damage at connector 3 ?).

I persist to think its a software failure or that at least it can be fixed by some softs modifications.

The errors logs are difficult to decipher but when I have some time I'll try to symbolicate them and see where the threat fails.

For now, clues leads me to think it's power management related cause it doesn't happen when connected to usb power (either computer or power outlet) and it happens more often when the battery is middle to low charge (or just after a big power drain such as a long call etc).

Same problem, and I have a problem with the connector 3 too (broke that mini lock and fixed it with a tape). Now it reboots when waking, sometymes with blank screens.
