power and freezing problems

My husband just bought the magellan roadmate 1200 about a month ago, and today he went to turn it on and it came up to a blue screen that said magellan on it and froze there. He then handed it to me and said, "honey fix it" anyway I hit the reset button and it took me to a white screen that has a short list saying bootloader menu at the bottom of the list I hit the reboot to see if that would fix the problem, well it didn't so I went back into that same menu and hit the initialize NVS, that worked but now when I turn it on it goes to a wite screen and does nothing
