Hard Drive replacement didn't worked...

Hi !

Due to a disk failure, I needed to get my hard drive replaced...

I'm contacting you because everything went good during the hard drive replacement but unfortunately when I tryied to reinstall the OSX system the HD wasn't found by the installation program...

The only thing I'm not sure of is the Hard Drive cable. Does it have to be plug in deeply or not ? Actually it doesn't seems to be pluged deeply. I got no problem disconnecting the ZIF cable by fliping up the ribbon cable of the old drive.

May I damaged the ZIF cable? Did I missed something like a power supply cable or is this the only cable related to the hard drive for the datas and power supply?

Thanks for you help and all the work you've done on this site !

Did you format the drive before you installed it? If not that would be the problem. Follow this https://discussions.apple.com/message/15.... That should fix the problem.

Hope this helps,
