phone got wet I replace battery and now it will not charge
What could be the problem my 3g iPhone got wet and i replace the battery and now the phone will not hold a charge and get hot

there are some parts shorted inside the phone and/or the connector is shorted - open it, remove the battery and check the dock connector, logicboard and the other connections for some "white stuff" - clean it carefully with a soft paintbrush and rubbing alcohol - let it dry and then try to charge it again
