Keypad 'Stuck' or 'repeating' on browser window

Hi,

I recently changed the digitizer on an iPad 2 gsm. All appeared to go well. However I have since noticed that when I try to type a letter into the browser address bar it will repeat much like a stuck key on a keyboard. Also when I visit a page it will zoom in and out of its own accord. My first thoughts are that the digitizer is bad, however the iPad appears to function normally in all other conditions. For example I can enter text in the note app with no problems.

Does the screen need calibrated or has any one else experienced anything similar after doing the same repair?
