White Screen after wifi replacement

The wifi antenna was not working properly on my iPod Touch 4th gen. In the process of disassembling the iPod, i disconnected the LCD/digitizer so that its easier to access the antenna and replace it. I reassembled and turned on the iPod without putting the LCD all the way in the iPod housing and the screen and wifi were working fine. I turned it off and then proceeded to finish reseating the screen. when i'm done, I turned it back on and I get the white screen. I unseat the LCD again and it works again. I seat the screen back into the housing and I get white screen again. I've checked all connections and made sure the lcd wire is not sitting behind the LCD to no avail. no visible damage to any wires or connections.

Has anyone ever experienced this? if so, any ideas on how to resolve this before I buy another LCD? it's the iPod's original screen so I don't see why this is occurring. I've repaired many iPods but this symptom is new to me. Thanks.

I had similar experience. LCD cable usually gets broken at the LCD entrance. It works only on some positions. And shows white at other positions. No fix unfortunately. New LCD needed.

Try to find a working position and reboot many times before buying a new LCD.

Good luck.
