Would this soldering iron be suitable for replacing the LCD Connector?
And what else would I need to solder it and also to desolder the previous connector , other than the replacement LCD Connector and soldering iron. If this soldering iron wouldn't suit can someone let me know what one would, as ifixit don't ship soldering irons to NZ.

If you are in New Zealand, Jaycar has the same soldering iron (or very similar) as the one iFixit sells with the correct voltage and plug.
They can also supply you with solder paste or solder, flux pens and desoldering tools as well all of which will help with the jobs you want to do.
