Mother board repair or not?

Hi there. My dryer sometimes gets warm to hot, serviceman says it's the motherboard, should I repair or buy traditional dryer can't afford another one of these, it's 10 years old. Thanks

Just where does it get hot? Is it working? Has it been moved since it was installed new? Use a multi meter and test to see if it is shorted out by touching the water pipe and the machine.
