I have an ipad 2 and the screen is blacked out. There's still a back light but no picture. I tried looking up this problem some people said restore and some people said try tapping the corner by the audio jack. I've done both these things and still nothing. is there a fix for this? will changing the lcd fix it. Please help. it's for a customer and I don't want to do anything unnecessary if it's not fixable

I would try a new lcd. you say the back light comes on still?

yes the back light comes on but no picture. I've been researching this issue and aside from opening it up which i have not done yet nothing else as worked. do you think that replacing the lcd will fix it? i do apple repairs for a living and i wanted to explore and try everything before i started replacing parts. the black screen is a new one on me. I've seen a white screen before but not black and the back light still working like this.
iDoctor will changing the lcd fix this issue
I guess I'm confused. How can you tell the backlight is on?
