Replacing the Volume button only - Not the cable

My volume button is stuck turning the volume down. I have only found the volume cable replacement guide. How do I replace the volume button itself?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Doesn't sound like you need a new volume button sound like you need to adjust the screws connecting it inside. Lot's of the time after replacing power flex/volume cables we have to constantly adjust the screws to make sure all function properly, if that doesn't help it probably means you need a new power/flex volume button because yours is no longer functioning properly. The volume button mainly only needs replacement if it's physically damaged.

Is the metal housing dented or dinged at all near the button? It could be jammed because of this as well.

Hmm...there appears to be a slight ding in the metal right above the volume button where the metal casing comes into contact with the glass. Very slight. Didn't notice that before...
