Now that the shattered screen was repaired, I cant make calls without the screen going blank. So I cant dial into voice mail or any kind of service where I have to input extension numbers. How do I solve this problem?

That is an operating issue. What model of the S2 do you have? When in dialer, see if you can press menu and change the screen auto off feature. Also, the proximity sensor may not be in correctly.
