Removing screws to disassemble

I can't remove the two screws near the speakers to disassemble my iPhone 3G.They unscrew, then turn freely and won't drop out of the holes. they don't stick out enough to grab, magnet didn't work. Any suggestions?

Tnx but it is the first 2 screws to be removed and it can't be disassembled until they are out.

you mean the 2 screws beside the dock connector ? (step 1)

well, at this point i would use a very thin blade and use it as a lever while unscrewing - a scalpel is a great tool for those jobs

even a thin needle would do it, but needles are not so thin as a scalpel (or similar blades)

did you get all the other screws out ?

if there are only the two screws left - you can pull slightly on the speaker assembly and try to unscrew the screws
