Black screen when power up

When I power up the Laptop the green light comes on in the from but no screen I hear the fan on the mother drive moving but that's it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

try an external monitor and tell us what you get. It could be your LCD, your inverter, your LVDS cable, your GPU as well as your BIOS. Start with the easy stuff first.

External monitor is looking for increased battery charge? Is my battery the problem?

One of the lights on that laptop indicates hard drive activity. Watch that light...does it blink much? On a normally-booting system it should keep blinking for a couple minutes, and that blinking should appear random.

If that light never blinks, then the system has a hardware problem, most likely the motherboard.
