Hi

Actually, I've got the Hitachi HTS545025B9SA02 (250 Go, 5400 rpm) in my laptop. However, I need more room for my storage (and I don't want to go with an external hard drive). Do, I'm planning on replacing the internal hard drive of my laptop for a new one (500 Gb).

Depending on your model you will have either a SATA I/II or SATA III HD interface. As such you will need to make sure the drive you get 2.5" (69.85mm) wide x .37" (9.5mm) high and can run correctly in your system speed-wise depending on its SATA I/O.

Review the HD's offered by Seagate & Western Digital on their web site. You also may find some older models being sold at a discount on Amazon or eBay. Just make sure to verify the specs on the manufactures web site.
