turning off and on after battery connector repair.

i actually pulled mine trying to remove the battery during the event of changing the iphone 4s' dock connector... i was suppose to pry out the battery connector but was careless and pulled it all from the socket. am not good at using either the heat gun or the soldering pen... i just placed it on the board and screwed it down to it... firstly i smiled cos the fone came up and working perfectly until about two mins after wen it started going off and on... am curious and want to kn if dat is the cause...

topmaic, "wen it started going off and on" I am convinced that this is caused by poor contact. With you just screwing the connector to the board, it will not make proper contact and will cycle off and on. Repair the connector and then re-evaluate. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thx a million oldturkey:) I'll get a service man on dat. My fear is dat I live in a country where ppl Dont get a proper training before going into repairs especially on mobile phones. They end up adding more problems to the little u had before. I just wish I could do dis myself. I love this blogs site and may God continue to bless u guys. I just find out that I could fix anything on my own in as much as soldering and heating is not involved. Once again thx for ur kind attn. I'll get it fixed cos recently again I noticed after some cycles of 'off and on' it get stopped and d battery meter stays at a constant percentage. Even wen u connect d charger, it indicates charging but neither moves up nor discharging.

I am certain you could do this yourself. Do you have access to some tools? I would first check youtube for some decent videos. Then practice on some older stuff and see if you can manage it.
