Hi
Yes, but you need to "bridge" the power button.
Unplug battery and of course Mag Safe adapter, then bridge the power button as if you want to turn on your MacBook. Bridge it for at least 30 seconds, than reconnect battery and / or Mag Safe adapter and turn on your MBP.
(don't know if bridge is the right term, maybe jumper)
