Getting a mildew smell, as from standing water. Drained the line in front and took out the filter, nothing there. Some slight amount of water around ring on font door.
Will leave door open between cycles to help dry out, any other solutions/suggestions w/be appreciated

First clean the rubber seal and in the folds of the seal with a cleaning cloth & household cleaner removing any build up. Then try running though a cleaning cycle with: Tide Washing Machine Cleaner These new front loading HE washers need a little more TLC than a top loaded unit. We feed the washer every other month the cleaner treatment makes a big difference!
If you haven't been doing that you may need to give it treatments for three weeks in a row and you might even give it a good gargle of bleach (1/4 of a gal) for a rinse cycle with nothing loaded.

If you have standing water in the machine you should also check into getting the water control valve replaced. You should also think about replacing the cut off valve with a power sense unit (only turns the water on when you power up the washer) and look at replacing the hoses as well.
