Use 120GB hard drive in 160GB iPod Classic

I have a thin 160GB iPod classic with a clicking HD and the Red X on boot. I want to combine it with a thick 120GB iPod classic with the white screen of death to make one working iPod.

I understand the HDs are different thicknesses, but I'm under the impression that the connectors are the same. Would it be better to just swap out the logic board/screen into the 120GB body, or to move the 120GB HD into the new body?

Thanks!

cemicolin, the 120GB is thicker, so I would suggest to transfer the parts from the 160GB to the 120GB since it will not be quite so involved.
