How to fix Time and Date Reset With no Battery?

I've come across a MacBook Pro 13" Early 2011 with no battery and for that reason it has the following symptoms:

1. Date and time reset every time the computer is turned off and turned on.

2. Every time I plug in my computer to a power source it automatically turns on

3. The machine resets to the year 2000.

I've investigated if this model has a PRAM battery but it seems it does not, it has a capacitor which needs battery power from the normal battery. Now my question is, is there any work around these issues without buying a new battery? Or do I HAVE to just buy a new battery in order to have this machine back to normal?

I think you just need to buy a new battery.

Hope this helps,
