Red light of death

When it is turned on, it has a red light and nothing else. My husband and son have taken it apart and cleaned the cpu and gpu and put it back together with thermal paste. Still doesn't work. Please help. Thanks

The PS3 slim shouldn't have gotten RLOD as Sony fixed the issue after the first PS3 model. With that being said there is no fix for RLOD on a slim, the only thing you can do is try looking for a fix online or send it in to a professional. If you still have a warranty with Sony you could send it to them. Sorry to hear your bad news I too had RLOD but on the first PS3 Model which when sent to a pro was still unfix-able. I had replaced it with the new model because Sony had fixed RLOD on it. Good Luck on finding a repair.
