MacBook charging error even with new battery and charger.

Hello,

I have macbook white late 2009 with 8gb ram and 500 hdd,

I've been having charging problems with my macbook, it would take many tries to charge it and the charging port gets really hot. Sometimes it won't charge at all even showing the orange charging light. I have changed my charger and got a new battery but problem still persist. Sometimes it would charge full and wont charge again unless battery is drained completely. Could it be magsafe board problem as the charging point gets really hot ?

What other possibility could it be than DC-in Board ? Can logic board cause problems like this too ?

Yes - you could be having DC-in board failure... that's not a terribly hard DIY project. Get the proper tools and parts. (Every job is easier with the correct tools). Keep track of your screws (what came from where) KNOW YOUR CONNECTORS - so you don't rip them off the board. There are some with cam locks, some must be lifted straight up... study the guide before you begin.

New batteries have been know to have "issues" right out of the box (even Apple ones, but espc. many of the cheap Chinese knock offs)... only putting them on external chargers or other machines can you tell if they are the fly in the ointment. .. could possibly be the battery terminal block/board that's at fault.
