Broken Logic Board Battery Connector

Hi all

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice before I do the repair?

I have an old iphone 4 with a broken battery connector. When connected to the mains the phone starts up as normal but has a blue banner on my old home screen picture stating activation required. When i slide to unlock I get the connect to itunes screen.

When I connect to the laptop all I get is a the apple logo cycle. Since I connected this phone I realised there are some pics there that I don't have which weren't backed up.

Is this issue just down to the missing battery connector.

Thanks in anticipation

Jonny

jonnyhicks, sure sounds like it. "When I connect to the laptop" it is most likely that your laptop USB does not supply enough power to the phone. Repair the connector and see what you get. Hope this helps, good luck.
