Inside Corner Screw Issues

Having issues getting the inner corner screws out during Display replacement of my iPhone 4. The screwdriver kit I got just doesn't seem to get a proper bite into the screws, and feels as if it's going to strip the heads. I managed to get this far very carefully without wrecking the other screws, but these corner ones are a real headache.

Are the screws in the iPhone actually traditional Phillips, or JIS? If anyone has access to both types of screwdriver, can you confirm which works best? I have #00 and #000 Phillips, and none of these feel right for the job. I have tried #00 Phillips from 3 different manufacturers, none of them seem up to the job.

Wondering if it's easier to carefully use slotted, but even 1mm seems too big for some screws; would probably need 0.8mm or smaller. Can anyone recommend where to get the best tools for the job, bearing in mind I'm in the UK?

Answer this question I have this problem too

The guide "Installing iPhone 4 Display Assembly Replacement" say that the required screwdriver are:

1-iPhone 4 5-Point Pentalobe Screwdriver

2-Phillips #000 Screwdriver

3-Phillips #00 Screwdriver.

The iPhone 4 Display Assembly (GSM/AT&T) kit has only the Phillips #00 Screwdriver, so I guess you should need only that.

Is the screw ruined?

Which one is exactly? (there are more inside corner screws, use the steps of this guide as reference)

The screws are fine, but I can't get any of them to turn. Suspect the screwdrivers that I have just aren't engaging the screws. Don't want to waste money on any more unless they are going to work. Have been using the guide on here already.

Just solved this myself. Filed the screwdriver tip and all the blade edges down a fraction and it was able to fit the screws just well enough to get the job done. One fixed iPhone at long last :)

00 should work fine, ive never had problems with it. is it all the corner screws or just one? The one next to vibrator can be quite tricky. If worst comes to worst, you can pick up a full replacement set of screws for like a quid of eBay.

All of the screws didn't seem to agree with any of the #00s that I have used. I had to apply a fair bit of downward force to be able to undo any of the screws.

The corner ones seem to be more awkwardly placed than the others (and possibly tighter), so I am wary of applying too much downward force on the screwdriver to get it to bite, as the risk of slipping and damaging nearby components is too high.
