Is the gold contact on the top of the motherboard soldered on?

Hello,

I was changing the screen on my iphone 4, on the top of the motherboard (the section that is like a U) the gold contact on the left of the U fell off. My question is, is this normally soldered in place? as there is no evidence of any solder and it just fell off as i was lifting the board out?

All help will be appreciated

Thanks

Michael

no, that gold piece is just there for ground purposes... nothing will stop functioning because its not in place honestly... its not even on the motherboard its in a spot where in can come into contact with a place on the motherboard to ground any extra electricity flowing through
