Question about the fuel system?
Does the system use an oil injection device, or does the fuel have to be pre-mixed?

The fa50 has a oil injection system
but older systems can be problematic - so pre-mixed could be an option

As Markus already answered, the FA50 has an oil injection system. However, several users on Moped Army advise to bypass the oil injection system and just premix the fuel -- it will supposedly regain a bit of power lost from powering the pump.
I am looking into creating a guide for this procedure, but it will be a while before I get a chance to sit down and figure it out.

well, my dutch is pretty rusty - but i'll try to answer that.
as miroslav stated. there are users on mopedarmy.com who are bypassing the oil injection. technically it should not be a huge problem - it's some kind of normal on other 2 stroke bikes (aprilia af1, rd350 and so on). but maybe mirsolav can tell you more about that.

I just bought two 1985 fa50s. Has old gas that needs to be drained. I had the same question regarding the mix. Also, does these babies have a fuel filter? Also, a oil filter? And what is a good oil to use?

They are for 1980 , but all FA 50 s are pretty much identical , but for cosmetics . If you run the recommended oils , you'll have no problems .
