How can I get the black screen off my iPhone 4

Okay i just put on a new battery on my iPhone 4 because it recently got water damaged well putting the battery on worked successfully so i put the phone back together and tried to turn it on but when i turned it on everything worked the silencer the sound when you turn off your phone and everything except for the screen the screen was just all black like completely black, and the screen would just not turn on so i would like to see if you guys would know how to fix it thank you.

If the phone was water damaged, then the first thing I would do is get power off that board and get it back apart. The motherboard should be removed and cleaned with alcohol and a soft brush to remove any corrosion that will form around all the tiny circuitry on the board.

Its also very possible that the screen is dead and will need replaced. Water is not easy on those types of components. If its still powering up then that's a good thing, but more than just a new battery is almost always needed for liquid damage.
