No screen picture after disconnecting.

Ok so I repaired one problem and created another!

Someone broke one of the three battery to circuit board connectors so I disassembled the unit being very careful noting where everything went, manufactured a new connector and reassembled, powered on the unit and backlight comes on but screen displays no information,

I think this is down to a zif connector under the screen it just popped when I lifted the screen, it has a flap that hinges on one end to lock a ribbon cable in place, but I am not really that familiar with zif connectors so I am guessing I reassembled it incorrectly.

Any information on zif connectors would be appreciated!
