Is it possible to upgrade the motherboard and cpu from powerpc g4 mac mini to an intel duel core mac mini? If so, where can I purchase the motherboard and cpu.
Are the cases for powerpc and intel mac mini's the same?

hi joseph,
since the g4 has a different logic board layout, you can't put a intel board in a g4 - the connectors won't fit.
i had a g4 last week, performance was ok after i put 1gig ram in it and overclocked it a little bit - even with 10.5.8 it had a good performance (for a g4)
the "best" way would be selling the g4 and getting a intel mini (the other way would be keeping the g4 ;-) )
