iPod Touch Will Not Turn On After Screen Replacement

I've done quite a few iPod Touches and they've all come out ok. The last one I had was today and did a simple screen repair, after the repair it will not turn on. Even if I plug it in it won't charge or turn on, itunes does not recognize it anymore. What can I do?

I tried "shorting the terminal" in the guide I saw here but that didn't help either.

Try putting it into DFU mode holding the power and home button. Every once in a while that fixes the issue. Is it water damaged at all?

I have the same kind of problems. But I have four ipods in front of me out of about 20 and nothing has worked. I've tried dfu mode. I've tried resetting. I've tried shorting it out. I am on a linoleum floor barefooted with my antistatic bracelet and they still don't work. I've done this many times and i'm stuck with these. One was just turned off, screen opened, home button flex replaced and it never came back on. I'm sick of this. I live nowhere near an apple store in the first place and now I don't know what to do.

There are some discussions here about shorting the third (furthest to the right) battery terminal with the metal dock frame. You have to have it plugged into a power source first. Worked for me. I even found one answer with images...

iPod won't power on after screen replacement, even when plugged in

Try that above. Cheers!
