Touchscreen not responding after screen replacement and jailbreak.

My screen was cracked so I replaced the whole display. At first everything seemed fine and the touch worked, then decided to jailbreak my phone at the same time.

I had to open it up again (accidentally rather roughly and the cables all unattached) to remove a screw I had for some reason attached to the display for safe keeping. After that the screen was just black so opened again a few times to sort it out.

Finally when the screen started working it was just a green screen so managed to reset it using the DFU mode. When it had restarted the screen didnt respond to any touch.

I have tried reconnecting my old screen and the touch works ok but I have to keep resetting the phone every time I turn it on after reconnecting.

So there you have it, how do I make it work again?

Could it be because I decided to jailbreak it or did I just damage my display?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Could have damaged the cables while removing it the second time, the 3GS is difficult with the cables so disconnect them carefully and check all pins with a magnifying glass
