How do replace my entire keyboard?

Awhile back I spilled coffee on my dell Inspiron 1545. Everything works fine except my keyboard. How do I replace my whole keyboard so I can use my laptop again?

lchelsea89, get the service manual from here. Scroll all the way down the page until you get to Service Documents. click on the blue link and this should download the manual. Page 34 shows how to replace the keyboard. Hope this helps, good luck.

I've done this on a Dell Inspiron, and it wasn't hard at all. But I have regretted going for a cheap replacement part from eBay or some such. Quality really does matter here-I'd spend the money for a good replacement (A quick web search just now showed a $44 one from Dell, a $15 one from Wallmart, and a $2.50 one on eBay)....

Ifixit has good guides for this repair, and they're worth looking at, because they show you where the retaining tabs are and how to release the keyboard's cable. But it's rated an easy, 5-min repair, and that's not far from my own experience.
