Hi i am havving the same problem have a black screen but the phone works n however i can c the screen when i put a light or torch close it it and also whn i press the home buttom about 2 times te screen comes on den off also whn the battery died nd i plug it to charge the screen is showin chargin battery den whn is charge it turens on to a nlack screen any helpp???

Try a hard reset... It sounds like a back light issue but it could be the display you'll never know til you get it changed.
