Touch screen still not working perfectly after replacement

I cracked my touch screen a few weeks ago and ordered a new one here on iFixit. when I opened the phone up I noticed that the LCD was also cracked, so I also ordered one of those. After meticulously installing all of the parts according to the instructions I am happy to report that the phone looks great. However, the touch functions are off by about 15 pixels. When I click on one app, the app just to the left is what the touch screen actually registers. I've tried fiddling with the #2 connection, but I can't seem to get the touch accuracy to be just right. I've read that some others are having similar problems. do you think there is something wrong with the replacement part? or is it possibly a motherboard issue? at this point, I am already $150 into the fix, so I'm not really in a place to invest much more into this project. Please let me know if anyone has found a way to solve this issue.

thanks

I found that the cheap replacement digitizer connectors are not the exact configuration and doesnt snap in place like the original connectors.

Does anyone know where to find the good ones? I tried EBay and Amazon...both incorrect type.

original connector has black bar with row of connections on either side.

Thats the calibration, happened all the time on my old LG. I don't believe you can recalibrate on iPhone.

Buy a new Digitizer.

recalibrating will not fix this problem! 3g and 3gs are not interchangeable parts.
