iPhone 3GS won't turn on

Help please!!

My Iphone 3gs stopped working and I got told it was the battery so I replaced the battery and it still wouldn't turn on so I also replaced the dock connector and again it still wouldn't turn on... Anyone have any idea of what could be wrong?

If you have replaced both then I would take it to a repair shop to test the motherboard with multimeter
