A1181 MacBook to wake automatically from sleep lid closed or via menu

anybody know what is causing my A1181 macbook to wake automatically from sleep (lid closed or via menue) and when put to "shut down" it automatically reboots...

thanks for any advice, i already changed battery cable twice!

Also make sure you don't have any peer level sharing enabled or have any running background processes that are stuck (use Activity Monitor to see whats going on).
