I repaired a cracked glass and everything the ipod functions normally, except the LCD display and the power button. I can use the home button and the touch screen, but the display is so dim I have to hold it in the light just to see it. Also all the color is negative. The volume buttons work so the power cable is still intact.

My guess is that you've partially torn the power button flex.(happened to me, so I know it's possible to break the power button only) as for the LCD, the LCD data flex or the connector maybe loose or damaged.

No sure on the power button but it seems like you've blown the back light!
