How to diagnose the problem before you order parts and begin repair?

Flickering computer screen on my Compaq Presario CQ61. When I connect an external display or the TV by HDMI cable everything works (of course the original screen, no action) how to diagnose the problem before you order parts and begin repair?

It's hard to describe the problem. No blinking screen is more like wind and changing colors

yosi, this can be a bit tricky. Since you described it as "Flickering computer screen" but did not tell us if a total image was flickering or if there was no proper image just the light that was flickering, I suggest to start with the display cable. It is the cheapest and easiest to fix compared to the alternatives, which are a bad inverter or a bad LCD. Download the service manual from here. Hope this helps, good luck.

Do you have a complete image that you can see, or are there just lines and shapes?

I see a picture but there are changes in the Colors and Lines smeared, then cleared the picture

Sounds like you have an issue with the display data cable. I would start with that.
