Can I fix charging port?

I dropped my tablet on it's corner. The screen didn't break and everything works fine but it won't charge now. Can I replace the charging port, should I pay someone else to, or should I just watch for a replacement tablet?

You can def change the charging port. I think it is soldered directly to the board so a skilled person would need to do the job.

When I plug sync cable in for charging my Tab 2 will not turn on. It just shows a picture of the battery where it is trying to charge then the screen just go blank. As long as i have the cord pluged in it goes off and on the whole time.
