Backlight but no display on LCD

I have an ipad 2 that may or may not have been dropped by a child the issue that I am having is that there is nothing being displayed on the ipad, but the backlight is coming on and the ipad is recognized by i tunes i will be disassembling tomorrow any tips if anyone has experienced this problem before would be great.

Hit the corner of the Ipad2 near the Headphone Jack, this trick worked for me and a few other people on the apple forum.

I would first check the LCD's connection to the logic board, and the cable's connection to the LCD. If the connections are good, then it's likely your LCD is bad. Be VERY careful when removing the digitizer. If it's not damaged, you don't want to break it when removing it to check the connection, or replace the LCD. Good luck!

There are 4 square like ic under the lcd connection

make sure you have all 4

Try hitting the top left-hand corner(headphone jack) a few times with your palm, it worked for me
