Short-circuited the magsafe adapter, is my logic board still OK?

The coating of my magsafe cable was damaged and sometimes it had a loose contact. So I decided to open the magsafe adapter and fix the contacts. Now it seems like I have short-circuited my macbook.

I bought a new magsafe adapter, but my macbook won't charge or run on power anymore. I tried a few other magsafe adapter but it didn't charge or turn on again.

I did some research about what could be damaged and I think it could either be the DC-In board or the logic board. Just after my macbook got damaged I could still use it on battery without any problems, I just couldn't charge it or put it on power. So I was wondering if the logic board could really be damaged if everything else was working fine.

I'm happy about any suggestions what to do next.
