How can I tell which transformer/power adapter goes w/which device?

I just got moved to a new place and all of the transformers/power supplies were packed in one box. They should have been packed with the equipment they were to be used with. None of them say which device they are to be paired with. I am trying to set up my office and can't tell which one plugs into which. The items are 5 computers, four sound systems, two printers, 4 external hard drives and one back up power supply. I don't want to burn anything out so I am afraid to plug things in just because they fir physically. Could someone explain what are the important specs to match up that I should look at ?

jon2223, your devices should have a symbol by the plug. It should tell you the V and A as well as the polarity. Match those with your adapters. If nothing else let us know the make and model of the devices and we can probably find the proper adapter for it.
